MSM and MFM are like siblings.

Most value contributors are active in both forums because MSM and MFM have a common goal. We are all working towards a perfect Malaysia/Singapore Map. Just that the route is a bit different.

the common differences are:
- road name.
- unlock code required or not.
- polygon map.
- single or split map for West Mal/Sin and East Mal

I've just got to know that we have another verson of map display ie malfree, I asked from the guy who sells garmin at sec 14 pj. I asked him what's the diffrence; he showed me the map format, grafically they are different, and you dont have to contribute to get the licence to down load the map !!! unlike malsing. Is it true?
I'm still struggling with my GARMIN etrex Maps downloading.

The MSM NT 2009.5 compiled by Garmin is free - no contribution required. This is the recommended version for the public anyway.

If you want the developmental maps (i.e. the MSM 3.0X Beta), then you need to contribute 1 time and it is unlocked forever. The developmental maps are a prelude to the officially produced Garmin maps.
Malsingmaps is now an official partner of Garmin to produce maps for MY, SG & Brunei.

Downloaded MSM NT 2009.5. How do I upload the map to view in MapSource. I am using V.6.15.6. Thanks.
