Which ones do you use for your router?

I didnt use the one given by streamyx since it was sloww ..

I was using opendns for quite a long time - until today, it seems most of the most innocent websites are being flagged by open dns as being "adult" in nature - even webbies of book authors!

So now im back using streamyx's. Anyone have other alternatives??

I'm using Streamyx's DNSs, average giving me about 800+ kbits per second on my 1Mb plan. Is it faster with opendns? Could use a little extra speed =P~

Its all dependent on where you live. Streamyx in D'sara Jaya / Sunway areas will have very good speeds. Other areas will be patchy.

I ended up using opendns - which was so much faster for me. Esp during cold startups. Streamyx dns will take ages before it connects to any site during the first 30 - 60 secs.

But now im ditching opendns for the reasons i stated above.

Thanks for the links. Using them now.

I hv changed my DNS server from

202.188.0.131
202.188.1.5

to the opendDNS
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220

But first impression is the same..no apparent increase in speed and infact it is abit slower :-? :-?

B4. I'm getting avg (via tmnet speedo) 800-1050kbps rite now it falls to 600-850kbps...

Ha, itu lah di panggil streamyx. Its like a stream flowing after 6 months of drought.
TM never mention broadband, they call it streamyx. I've seen dial-up in
Singapore faster than streamyx. I have 2 accounts - house 512 and my shop 1M but
I can only download at 10 - 30 kb/sec on both. On a good day 60kb/sec. What to do?
Its the only service available for me. If cannot defeat, joinlah and suffer quietly.
Having said all that I'm glad also. Better than my old Jaring dial-up.

If your streamyx is slow, dont die in silence. There are avenues for you to complaint. MCMC is one. Newspaper is another. I'm sure TMNet is not really that deaf.

And one more thing, email your claim to custcare@tm.net.my with the printscreen of your bandwidth test. If you make a lot of noise, sooner or later they will be more attentive

You are right Bro Shah, But as far as I know, I'm not the only one. I think most areas
in Sandakan also the same. I'll carry out your suggestion. Thanks
