Dragon Boat Races.

#1 Post by bartmp8 » Thu Jun 05, 2008 1:40 pm

Hi, Just a few shots of the recent Dragon Boat Comp in Tawau, Sabah. I was the Team Manager for the
Sandakan Tong Kang Fishing Association. We sent a team of 30 rowers and officials to the recently
concluded 24th Annual Dragon Boat Competition in Tawau where we meet our arch rival Tawau TeoChew
Association every year all over Sabah. We must be the friendliest arch rivals in the world. To cut the
story short, neither of us won this year. Tawau TeoChew got 2nd and us 3rd. Champion went to the
dark horse Sunday Hashers. The Hashers' win left both teams scratching our heads.

The same team will be going to KK on the 15th June for the 23rd Sabah International Dragon Boat Race.
Look out for more pictures soon. The final race for the year (for us) will be the Sandakan event in July.
Thanks for your time. If someone managed to attend the Penang Internation and managed to get some
pictures, please post. Thanks

Bro bartmp8,

Neck too thin is one factor the other is that your Dragon turns Green... and the power drink also Green... not enough power ... next year paint it Red & Orange....and go for Bloody Mary.... for more fire power.... :fire: Congratulations for the 3rd placing..... .... cheers!...

:tq: for sharing the pics Bro Bart... :good:

I was wondering if your "sexytary" was at the stern or @ the bow.... cos she may have been a distraction rather than be source of boosting their adrenaline to the sporting event?? :-k

Test the will of Budder "Burn"... invite him with a complimentary seat next to the yung lady...

I think he'll book the first boat out to "choap" his position.... [-X

Not overconfident, more like overdrank. Actually, it all to do with the current. Inner lanes has weaker
and outer lanes had stronger current. Luck of the draw. Tawau is notorious for the current between Tawau
and Sebatik Island

Bro SB,

It's the Green Horn that lost.... if they had kept the Old Bird it will be different.. current or no current....

Bro 9W6VX,

The secretary is not public property... so you have to PM to get the number. After that can share ...ah!...

Cheers!
