Uncle Tongkang Bart,
Very impressive performance! Congrats! :good: I want to recruit those girls in the picture. Give me their H/P numbers so I can make contact with them- but the sailing will start much later after the "navigation" period. :-'

I will try and sort out my GPS soon after I get back from the Singapore Asian Youth Games (Judging, not competing against the youth!) . FYI come August-October, me and my staff will be travelling again on many many uncharted roads to do the remote schools ICT maintenance and will be turning on the tracker.
I wish there was a simple process of doing a command so that our tracks become roads stored in the Garmin map. Is there an easy way? I have navigated the setup of the 255W and cannot find any option to do such a thing.
I must admit my usage of the GPS (76CS) has been mostly at sea so we are not too concerned about roads but direction, VMG (Velocity Made Good), sea current compensation etc. I only got the 255W 2 months ago and found it absolutely vital to get me to the remote schools but with the help of printed maps as I am going into uncharted villages and unmapped roads. (By the way I used the 255W with a Japan map for my Wakayama sailing trip and it was fantastic- found my way around without asking in a single word of japanese!)
I will cover Northwards from Kota Marudu, Pitas, Kudat and Banggi and southwards from Papar, Membakut, Kuala Penyu, Beaufort, Sipitang and Labuan. I am amazed at the number of roads (some we cant call roads)
Majority are not in the maps from the Maps department which we bought.

So now I want to learn from you "Gurus" ....bring me up to speed Uncle Tongkang!

No, its a new design for easier loading and unloading
Ya, the pillar broke during the time when the VIPs were
anointing the new boats (Open Eyes). 3 guys fell in - handphone
and all. Luckily (but unfortunately) no VIPs got wet. No mention
of the incident in the papers :-# .
