Watch Stolen

#383 Post by waypoint » Fri Feb 26, 2010 5:12 pm

:(

My Omega Planet Ocean 42-mm was stolen this afternoon. I spare everyone here the details. ](*,)

It's a Ref: 2201.50.00 Serial Number: 81088958.

If any watch enthusiasts here come by it, let me know.

I have EVERYTHING else less the watch head to prove my ownership.

Thanks in advance!

Bro waypoint, Sad to hear of your loss. You just post it 2 weeks ago and not its gone. Your workplace prone to those with quick fingers ](*,)

Will look out for it in the various watch forums ...

Nope, not my workplace this time. It was stolen from my car when it was broken into. If not for my 255W which was hidden under my mat, I think that would've been swiped, too.

I hope the thief chokes on it!

8-) Had a little retail therapy session yesterday evening at Vivocity's Sincere Watches... :$gone: but very effective treatment.

Bracelet unsized, stickers and protective film still on.

Notice the difference in the serial number compared to my first? How many watches is that?!

In mint condition, I'm giving it a month in anticipation that I might get my stolen one back before I break out the new one. Couldn't wait because Omega is phasing out the 2500C movement for the newer twin-barreled wholly in-house 8500($$$+$) after BASEL 2010. And also because of higher prices from 1st April; a really big jump as prices didn't go up last year in view of the weak USD. Still, I had to pay just under a grand more than for what I paid for the one I lost even before the increase! :$gone:

I hope the thief gets hit by a bus and run over by a second. :fire:
