I find this spear (the middle specimen) in a magnificent state. Is it a blow-pipe too?

Yes, all three of them are blowpipes.

The "benet" or spear is used to deliver the final blow to the throat of the "babi hutan" aka wild boar or the "beruang" aka bear.

Hi Guys,

I finally managed to take a few pix. These are not "Endura's" quality pix so ...

I just want to show first the Sarawak blowpipe and the nice shield as well, on the right hand side you will see a smaller Orang Asli blowpipe from Cameron Highlands (I have a couple of those as well).

So, you were clad in a chawat during the early hunting years and that time there was no digicam to snap yrself? Nowadays, brudder Endura can take care of a photo session, just call or sms him but don't shoot/freeze him with yr near nudity ok? :-$

:good: Mygis on those elaborate pics. You do have a fancy arsenal and those metal-tipped toothpicks sure appears deadly if "bold-ink" poison like mine, is smeared on them.... :nehneh:

How heavy(in gms or kilos) is that very long & straight blow-pipe? What is its effective range to penetrate/embed into the skin to become effectively lethal? :-k
