Just sharing a mountain-biking track captured from my Garmin Forerunner 205 using smart-recording (not 1-sec logging) but good enough to follow through. We went last weekend.
This was a challenging track with steep uphill climbs. We ride a big loop from the foot-hill of Air Itam dam to Balik Pulau and back to where we start. Need to have enough water supply since some of tracks are way off-road in the 'jungle'. Will explore more tracks and share here.

Will post some photos in http://www.everytrail.com/view_trip.php?trip_id=133031 later.

Oh yeah I know about this trail. The view is excllent!

Btw, checked your tracklog, maybe you should set your tracklog point interval to a fix one instead of most often. I checked mine to 5 sec interval and found to work best for mountain biking.

Hello turbosnail..
yes.. the view is excellent especially when we are descending to Balik Pulau.

I can only set my GPS to smart-recording (the unit will decide the best interval logging automatically) or 1-sec recording. I didn't use 1-sec recording because it can only last about 3.5 hours according to the user manual.
I am using the Forerunner 205 to log the track now.

We (our MTB gang) plan to get the eTrex Vista HCx soon and then I will follow your advise to try the 5-sec logging interval.

Hope we can ride together one of this days.
You joining the coming Kulim JMTB amboree Exploration?

regards.

Why everybody I meet ask me if I were going to join the Kulim Jamboree....

I'll see how it goes. I can't promise since the date clashes with my travelling schedule. But I would love to meet the mainland gang since I ride on the island most of the time(although I myself am from Permatang Pauh. ) now.

Any chance to share the tracklog ah?

I used to ride in Kulim High Tech park quite often.
