Don't have the coordinates for Sg Lepoh Waterfall yet  Didn't bring my GPSr with me when I went up there last year. But you can use this set, courtesy of this group of great guys (http://www.waterfallsofmalaysia.com/history.php), N03° 15.03' E101° 51.94' (more info @ http://www.waterfallsofmalaysia.com/83lepok.php).

However, after reading what someone has just recently experienced there on the above website, I am having second thought about going there again. I have been there a number of times in the past but given the Orang Asli incident mentioned, better play it safe.

For the uninitiated, the road to the starting point is quite obscure. You really have to look hard for the small signboard that points to the turn-off from the main road running to Pangsung, Ulu Langat.

Alternatively, if you have a sturdy car (meaning no Kancil), you can try visiting Sg Batangsi. This is a very nice place to camp or just cast a few rounds of fishing lines.

N3 1.820' E 101 54.260'

The laterite road will challenge your driving skills and if your shock absorbers are cut too short, be prepared to have the bottom of your car scrapped.

I rode my Yamaha kapcai there and I could only use 1st gear most of the time! So you can imagine what sort of terrain that place may have.

No u are not suppose to go via the 2 big pipes. The road to the trail head is located next to the end of the road leading to the restricted Klang gate Dam gate (JBA Selangor).

U can park ur car beside the JBA gate (Very limited lot available) and beside the parking is a row of wooden houses (I think orang asli house)..Opposite the house is the trail head...

Going Up Sg Lepoh On A Weekend

#20 Post by cwyap » Fri Feb 22, 2008 8:32 pm

Hiya Topoguy,

Too bad I am in the midst of preparing for my Mt Kinabalu climb (5 - 8 March 2008) or else I would love to join you.

Perhaps later on either end March 2008 or early April 2008, I'll be taking my staff up there. So, if you are game for another round after your hike there this weekend, we can join up as a group? :)

There is a nice spot hidden between the dam and the higher level waterfall that has a great spot for swimming with fishes but becareful as it's deep and the water is freezing cold; just remember to bring along your goggles or snorkelling mask.

Next round I go there, I better take along my Garmin eTrex H  . Those pics were taken back in the days when I only had a 1.3MP digital camera but no GPSr; that was 5 years ago! Last I went there was in 2006; terrain more challenging as few people were going then & it was rainy season.

You have a good time.

Cheers.
