This is critical info. It means there are 2 lanes here base on what you have quoted. It should have total 4 lanes at this point. For lane info, lane count is usually refer to number of lane at the joining/intersection.

Anyway, let Jerome to decide.

Am sure, Jerome knows what I am talking about. Ok, let him make the correction. Thanks.

Just wondering, are mappers able to control which LA icons to appear on nuvi?

If yes, is there a list of icons supported by nuvi? This is for ease of contribution.

We only decide lane count and how does one lane join to the other lane. Software display the icon base on joining angle.

I think this explanation is critical for users to understand.

In Singapore, there are many roads which can mushroom into multiple lanes at crticial junctions.

If I'm not wrong, Redstorm's example is that junction where the 3 lanes AYE branches into a Y-expressway with the middle lane becoming critical at the split as it widen into two lanes at the split and at that point it becomes a 4 lanes expressway with two lanes toward CTE and two lanes towards ECP.

The junction of CTE and PIE at the Whampoa flyover is also critical at the slip road to PIE (to Changi) branches into a two lane ramp which will go to two different directions with the right lane joining PIE and the left lane going to MacPherson Road.

There are many roads which need JCV and lane info as well.....

The slip road from PIE to KPE (ECP) direction is pretty tight and there are times I nearly missed it.

My favourite pet peeve is the Braddel Road junction towards Bishan and Lornie Road just after the Braddel flyover. Of course after many times of going on unintended sightseeing trips, I have learned the route well.

Only localised models support JCV using MSM NT and Garmin CN maps. AFAIK, 1300 is not a localised model. To be absolutely sure, please go to www.garmin.com.sg to verify. Thanks.

Hi Zeus,

I also have a V2011.20 version City Navigator in my local 255W. The JCV folder only shows SgMyMal.JCV and SgMyTA.JCV currently. The lastest MSM NT V5.26 update has a Product.JCV which is supposed to be copied into this folder.

Do I delete/rename all the old files and put in this Product.JCV as it is into the folder or do I have to rename the Product.JCV to SgMyMal.JCV (or SgMyTA.JCV)?

TIA :D

Map file and JCV file work in a "Matched Pair". Without the other and vice versa, it will not work.

MSM compiled Map goes with Product.JCV file, so copy it into the JCV directory.
The other two files are for Garmin NT and MSM map as compiled by Garmin respectively.
