After that.... U need to force quit it......

I tried leaving it >30mins... still nothing....
Ok, now it quite clear that there is no USB connectivity between your GPS, and the PC.

Get it fix here : http://www8.garmin.com/support/download ... jsp?id=591

Otherwise, there is no way your GPS can get any maps.

At first I suspect that your Mapsend could be installed incorrectly that's why I suggested using this method. Now that it's due to connectivity, then you can ignored this.

From what you describe, it should not be the problem of the Sendmap. Anyway I am using the
Free sendMap20 rev 4.0 for Windows, download from here : http://cgpsmapper.com/buy.htm. Scroll down till you see the heading sendMap

I still believe your problem is with the USB connectivity between the GPS, and PC. If you have updated the USB driver, next to blame is the USB cable.

OK...

I finally got the maps loaded.

Actually the connection between the Venture and PC is intermittent.

The v2.15 map that I got needs unlock code.

But I downloaded it again and no need unlock code.

Last but not least,

I would say a BIG THANK YOU to the ones that given all the help.....
I appreciate it very very much and without u, I wouldnt get the maps into GPS.

I've done uploading all the *.img including Mapsource basemap files to my Venture Cx, 5800 xm and 6110 navigator using MAPUPLOAD.
All of them working very fine.
Keep the good job done. :tq: :good:
