but after i re upgrade ..it will be okay for 2 or 3 day...

i think want to convert back to 3.70.. but dont have the file anymore... or can i hard reset it.. and then asked sifu bern to guide how to recover from the hard reset..

:prayer: :ko: tq
That is a known problem that is not yet resolved by Garmin yet. The v3.9 can accept mapset size bigger than 2Gb but that automatic shut down is an issue.

I think there is a Repository of old Garmin firmware in GPSpassion or something like that. I will post a link when I locate them.

do you mean "internal" and not "external" memory in the sentence above? because otherwise i am getting confused :-?

hi bartmp8,
bartmp8 wrote:The 20 left is the number of tracks stored in the unit (for trackback etc). It is not the SD memory left. The number of
tracks you can store in SD card is dependent on the size of your card. Most tracks are less than 100kb (GPX) and you
can fit 100's of tracks even for a 512MB card.
to summarise (tell me if I am wrong),

so the "20 left" is only for "internal storage" of the 76CSx ? No matter how big/small each track is, the 76CSx can only store 20 internally?

But, if I use a SD card, then I can store as many tracks of whatever size so long as the SD card is not full?

The "20 left" are Generalised tracks used for trackback purpose and is stored internally with a maximum track size of 500 points only. There is another "internal memory" for tracks with a default number of track points of 3000 points but can be changed to a maximum of 10,000 points.

Your summary for the SD card is correct.

Hi bernGPS,

thank you

I got to say I am still confused about the "internal" stuff but I think I will just remember "just set to use SD card and can forget all about it" \:D/

Now to find a place selling it for a good price

Yeap, that is the Best strategy. Good luck in buying. Since you are from Singapore there are plenty of places selling them at a good price in Sim Lim area. Or Amazon also is quite cheap.
