If it is a Garmin map of Thailand, you can't copy it over to your device as it is copyright protected by a password that is tied to the id of the SD card where your friend's map is stored or in the main memory if it is originally stored there.

Did you put the map file gmapsupp.img in the SD card sub-folder /garmin of the 60CsX ?

Think some problem with your map or SD card ... change card and see if it works ...

Can you please tell us what is the source and version number of your Thai map?

It is possible that the map was unlocked only for that Nuvi but locked for your 60CSx

It will be easier for us to help if we know what kind of map.

From your description, it seems that you transferred an SD card containing the map from a Nuvi to your 60Csx. If so, does your SD card contain an .UNL file together with the map file?

some questions on gps60csx

#267 Post by coldspark » Mon Aug 19, 2013 2:08 pm

A couple of questions on gps60csx:
1. how to enter cordinates of waypoints manually into GPS60csx?
2. how to find, for example jade garden seafood on the GPS map?

I bought it used and dun comes with a manual and i cant seem to find any entry of waypoint names to the gps
Thanks a lot
