Oops, sorry, yes, you really know me huh? Yes, I got the 78s. Its slimer and sexier now.
Haiz ... everyone wants slim and sexy and in shape nowadays, even when come to choosing GPS. Remember,
round is also a shape. Went on a holiday with my HCx (round and short) - still working like a charm.

Agree. I know one such very charming person too. Bless his great heart.

I am also keeping my round and short etrex vista HCx as my back up. The 78 is to use the image function

2k, if I'm not wrong...
Happy New Year guys!

Finally got an approval from my Finance Minister for the upgrade [more like a replacement of my 60Csx, Batts leaked - long story]

Anyway, managed to get this from our very own lelong.com

Anyone gotten from this seller? Care to share?

RM1599 looks like a good deal.

Does everything the 60CSx does and more and incorporating elements taken from the Oregon series.

A few quick facts:

Ability to load scanned maps (ditto Oregon).
65,000 colors vs 256 (60CSx) but Oregon has larger display
Quad helix antenna, 3-axis-compass (no need to keep the unit level anymore)
20 hours battery life (vs 10+ for Oregon)
Button operated (vs touchscreen for Oregon). Oregon trumps on this for ease to text entry.
Barometer (same)
Paperless geocaching (ditto Oregon)
Wireless data transfer (ditto Oregon)
62S has 1.7GB memory onboard
Automatic creation of high and low elevation waypoints whilst tracking + start and finish points.
And all the tracking ability you love about the 60 series.

We are planning to do a Bulk Buy (with priority to Valued Contributors) for a very attractive price. Pls list your names if you are interested. If we do not meet minimum target orders, we will abort. First delivery 3rd week of July.

1. Adil Othman (2 units)
2. Joe Adnan (1)
3. Bamboosnake (1)

Gentlemen, this offer was made in July 2010, almost 2 years ago when the 62S was launched. The offer is no longer valid. :tq:

My Position Format : W Malayan RSO and Map Datum : WGS 84.

On page of Satellite, I notice that my VP show 473425 and WMA 247985.
What does it mean by VP ? When I compare with another unit of GPSMAP 62s the number is different by 100 or more, why?

Anybody can answer? Pls help! Thanks in advance :tq:
