Smartphone - General Discussion

#1 Post by ziyad5007 » Mon Oct 15, 2007 5:51 pm

Guys,

Google has created a new Version of Google Maps for S60 3rd Edition Phones. The earlier version did not support GPS. The new one does. I just finish installing it on my Nokia N93 and it works perfectly. For GPS, i am using Garmin GPS 10x. NO problem at all. I suggest you download it for all GPS Lover, GOOD STUFF

Pros - FREE !!!!
Cons - Make sure you have Unlimited Data plan before using this or connect the Google Maps through WiFi. Don't want your Data Bill to go Sky High now do we...

To Download, use your Mobile Browser to (http://www.google.com/gmm)

For review, check out All About Symbiam

Just downloaded and installed into my Nokia 6110. Wow, really awesome! Zoomed down right into my home! Was afraid to spend too much $ on downloading (I am on a Data Lite plan), so disconnected after a few minutes of browsing around. Need to learn more offline.

Unfortunately we were so engrossed in our golf game that we totally forgot about Google Maps on Nokia 6110! Thanks for the great company; and the nice bottle of red! Look forward to your next visit to Spore.

Google Maps uses internet connection to download the image for the maps. So as i mention before, use only if u have Unlimited Data plan or through WiFi.

For me, anytime i am bored, just head down the the nearest Starbucks, play around with Google Maps. It is really awesome...

Traveling the world at your finger tips. Since i am going Phuket this Nov, i have been looking at the Phuket to familiarize myself with the areas. Such wonders comes from Google. :-)

Even found my Uni @ UK in the Map. Damn, i miss UK....

So what do you guys look for @ Google Maps?
