Searching for Road POI is Extremely Slow in Nuvi 200

#1 Post by liewss80 » Sat Jan 19, 2008 5:41 pm

I'm having a problem here. Dunno its happened to all users or just mine. For eg. when i search for Jalan 16/5 (approx 17.6km away only) , it takes more than 5 minutes to list out in my search menu. Is this normal?

I brought an external SD 2G card but didn't utilize it at the moment. Internal memory is sufficient for Malaysia and Singapore map. You can combine east Malaysia map as well.
My suggestion is buy nuvi200 first, if you need extra memory then go for it later. SD price drop from time to time.

One can expect it to be no more than 1Gb with the new units now released. Getting a separate SD card is always useful.

Hmmm, thats quite a question... you must be a very young chap... :)

Ok, I'll make it easy for you to grasp, like we say here, without any "poes-pas"...

With extra memory at hand, esp. being flexible with options that are easily removable like in using SD cards, you can stock more maps of various places and other data for convenience of use, separately.

Its like having a house shared by the whole family with each individual having his/her own lifestyle and agenda... but using &/or depending only on one house key to the front door... you get the drift now, maybe not? :-k

Getting more keys is the smarter solution.

Hi Bro avon,

Internal memory is nearly to 1G. With all nesscary file it leave around 8G you can manupulate. (depend on how many maps and POI you load in)
