I had checked out Nuvi 255w, it's selling $559 (local set warranty by Garmin) from Sim Lim without any Singapore map. Think it's too expensive and in the end. I settle with 205w instead. O:)

How much is it? Is it local set? If your 205w is local set (indon), can it display POI during navigation?

Bro,

Bought it at around $380 without any memory card. Export set, US model but made in Taiwan. Can't display POI during navigation. For the past 1 week, I had been actively researching Garmin softwares and maps. Takes a long time to understand it...

Cheers!

The removal of POIs in navigation mode is supposed to be an improvement, to remove screen clutter. If you are using official Garmin map, the removal of the POIs do not make much difference. It is only when you are using Malsingmaps map that there is a visible difference.

Hence, I doubt this feature will be brought back unless it makes a serious difference to users of official Garmin maps in the US and elsewhere.

Pardon me as i still have not got a set yet, Does the US set shows the POI when normal viewing like in routing mode? i don't mean navigating, i mean when you set the destination then the route comes out, will it show the POI?

Also, will it show the position of the traffic light when navigating since POI doesn't show?

If this is an " improvement", then it may not make end user happy, since for end user, this is just like a feature less and not plus, right?

Bro,
Why you need to know this?
Once you plug in your Nuvi with USB to PC, the Web Updater will automatically update the proper firmware to your unit.
