Ok, I saw that you listed only Omnia in your profile.

Anyway, what do you mean by "no warning"? Do you not at least get a "dong dong" warning as well as some warning on the screen? Did you download the latest POI files coz the latest files have the dates included in the file name? For TrafficCam, this refers to the traffic redlight cameras. Did you pass one of these junctions and there was absolutely no warning?

Because there is no garmin folder in the main memory, thats why i put the poi folder in the root directory. :D

Thanks for the other guys. i will try putting it in sd card and try again.

Cheers

No Garmin folder in the main memory ? Then when is the pre-loaded map located ?

For the 205W (US version), there are two folders, namely GARMIN, and DEBUG. The POI folder should be in a sub-folder in the Garmin Folder. Alternatively, this POI folder can be located in your Garmin folder in the SD Card.

All the "gpi" files from the Community POIs section, will be dumped into the POI folder.

Now there is a gpi file that will speak in a girl or man voice "traffic light ahead", instead of the boring "bong bong" sound
:D

Hi all brothers,

So far, thank you for the assistance given but my POIs are simply not working.
Basically, my set is a local unit from Eastgear with a preloaded map.
Inside my Garmin Main Memory, there are two folders
->Garmin
->Jpeg
I created a folder in the garmin folder which therefore is \garmin\poi and put the gpi files inside.

Inside my Garmin folder, i have the following files which puzzles and if i could delete:
gmapbmap.img
gmapbmap.sum
gmapprom.img (i know this is the default map for garmin and i will be removing it as i wanted to use MSM)
gmapprom.sum
gmapsupp.img (MSM Map)
gmaptz.img
gmaptz.sum

For other img files, can i just delete off?
Thanks a million in advance.
cheers
kopi

why would you want to delete the .img files? leave it as it is. Your POI files problem is not related to the .img files. can you give me a screengrab of your Nuvi directory listing? can you tell me the extension of your poi file?

By right, only those with MP3 function can give voice alert. But I did read that someone said he found a way around this. You mean he has posted the solution files? Where?

It is possible.. bcoz on my 205, whenever im approaching a roadblock area, it will voice alert "Warning, police road block area.." instead of the default 'dong dong' tone..
