#2 Post by relles80 » Mon Jul 21, 2008 2:40 pm

can anyone advice me on a basic garmin model with a 4.3" screen that comes with
charging cable connected to the cradel instead of the set.
bluetooth not needed, as basic as possible.

Bro,
From Nuvi 300 series onwards, there should have the option already.

300 series only 3.5" screen

For 4.3" you have to consider the 200W model but power is off the USB jack

Else look for a used 610 series. Set takes power off the cradle.

udaloy, maybe you should start a new thread or something in the hobbies section (or is it in there already?)and post all your DIY jobs and photos. It would be interesting to see the rest of the Malsingmaps members DIY creation in the thread. =D> :good:

Bro SilverNeauty,
You are right, my mistake to overlook the 4.3" option.

I saw one in Argos Store in London selling for $450.00 sing only (brand new with U.K. and Europe maps).
