Software Update nüvi 765 Singapore/Malaysia v2.30

Change History
  • 1. Synchronize to English software v3.80.
  • 2. Support reading the EXIF of .jpeg files and doing the photo navigation.
How to Update the Software?
  • 1. Download the correct update execution file onto the PC.
  • 2. Connect your nüvi® 765 Sing/Mal (010-00715-6C) to a free USB port on your PC with the USB cable to allow your nüvi® 765 Sing/Mal (010-00715-6C) to initialize and enter USB mode.
  • 3. Please back up the GPX folder on your nüvi® 765 Sing/Mal (010-00715-6C) onto your PC in case of the waypoints getting missing during the download and make sure your unit can supply enough battery power for the update(3 cells or above).
  • 4. Execute the update execution file on your PC directly.
  • 5. Follow the instructions provided by the update application on your PC.
  • 6. Remove the USB connection from the PC.
  • 7. The nuvi will automatically restart and do the update by itself. During the update, the nuvi will show the message like "SOFTWARE LOADING or Loader". Please do not turn off the nuvi or remove the external cable if there is any.
  • 8. After the update, the nuvi will restart and turn on by itself.

How to Update the Software?

Software Update nüvi® 1350 Sing/Mal (010-00782-66)/nüvi® 1460 Sing/Mal (010-00810-63) v2.30

Change History
  • 1. Support reading the EXIF of .jpeg files and doing the photo navigation.
  • 2. Fix the issue about cannot enter mass storage in power off mode.
  • 3. Add the screen calibration functionality.(In "Tools>Settings>Display>Touch Screen").
How to backup the user data before the update:
  • 1. Please prepare an empty SD card.
  • 2. Turn on nüvi® 1350 Sing/Mal (010-00782-66)/nüvi® 1460 Sing/Mal (010-00810-63) unit.
  • 3. Insert the empty SD card into a nüvi® 1350 Sing/Mal (010-00782-66)/nüvi® 1460 Sing/Mal (010-00810-63) unit.
  • 4. Go to the menu page and choose "Information > User Data > Data Transfer > Save to Card".
  • 5. Wait until the screen showing message "Transfer Complete".
Update Instructions:
  • 1. Download the correct auto-executing update file in your PC.
  • 2. Execute the auto-executing update file and follow the instruction to install the update files to an empty SD card.
  • 3. Insert the SD card in the card slot of nüvi® 1350 Sing/Mal (010-00782-66)/nüvi® 1460 Sing/Mal (010-00810-63) unit.
  • 4. Power on the unit and wait for message pop out asking for update confirmation.
  • 5. Choose "Update Software" to do the software update.
  • 6. During the update, the nüvi® 1350 Sing/Mal (010-00782-66)/nüvi® 1460 Sing/Mal (010-00810-63) will show the message like "Updating Software". Please do not power off the unit or interrupt the update.
  • 7. Wait until you see the UNIT RESTART automatically and switch to the HOME PAGE itself.
  • 8. Remove the SD card from the unit.
