from the earlier thread about POI visibility on 205w; I guess it cannot be seen while driving? Is there anyway I can activate?

Nowadays electronics gadget comes with Lithium Battery have built in charging circuit, meaning you wont over charge it. It will stop after battery is full. For my Nuvi, when charge at home, i slide the power button to OFF the device, it will shows a screen it is charging and when it full, a tap on screen with shows charging completely.

If you are using the device (driving), when it full, the battery bar will stop flashing, but i think the lightning icon stays.

jem_kwok/ Kennicks,

apparently with the 205W, it will not indicate that the battery is fully charged, i.e. as long as the unit is connected to the charger, it will indicate that the thing is charging/ the battery meter keeps on moving, but charge it for about 4 hours is enough to use for about 2 to 3 hours depending on conditions. in open area when i'm driving out of town can last up to 3 and half to 4 hours. but around town with a lot of building and over head bridges (be it driving or in pedestrian mode) the battery on mine can last up to about 2 hours only.

i check with a few people around town - importers/ authorised resellers, they say its normal, memang the unit will never indicate that charging is completed.

susuman,

to bring up that screen, you got to "tap" the battery meter twice and just keep your finger on the battery meter for a few seconds, shouldnt take longer than 10 seconds than that screen will appear.
