Was actually intending to buy another 755T, if not for the problem of displaying the building polygons... Any one know which other Nuvi has fast refresh rate ?

Re: The Nuvi 755T
From the gpsmagazine's review and other reviews , 7x5 series currently has the FASTEST refresh rate in Nuvi family.

Re: The Nuvi 755T
I bought my 755T from Amazon for USD499.
As requested I've attached the screenshots :
This one here is from Nuvi 360 showing the building polygons. The following 2 screenshots from 755T show random building polygons at the same zoom level at 2 different times. The following also show random building polygons at varying levels of zoom (also from 755T) Any clues ?

Re: The Nuvi 755T
Did you try running offical Garmin Singapore map? If the problem exists only for malsingmaps, then it is Garmin counter-attacking Malsingmaps! We keep running into more and more problems with newer Nuvis.

Two ways .... " Buy or Borrow "

Buy as you cannot copy Mapsource version into your Nuvi as it is locked to buyer's unit.

Borrow from someone who has a Garmin "sdCard" version which is transferable to any Garmin unit.

Re: The Nuvi 755T
I am also having problems with the map drawing with the included Malsingmaps v2.30 in my 755T. Sometime it is very annoying especially in 'Night Mode', and have to change with outdated Garmin City navigator MY SG v3.0.
Today, I made my own gmapsupp.img using Mapsource and gmaptool (gmt), and it seem it solved the drawing problem. Superb!!
Here are the steps.
0) Backup gmapsupp.img, if possible rename it to other name. Example gmapsupp_orig.img
1) Load Malsingmaps with Mapsource, and select all maps in malsing+borneo.
2) Transfer the maps to device
3) Copy the created gmapsupp.img to hardisk. Rename it to gmapsupp_new.img
4) Extract maps from the original gmapsupp.img using gmaptool. I choose to use the command line version gmt.exe.
5) Append POIs (00001128.img, 01010600.img, 6000666.img, 00001113.img, 06000000.img) to the gmapsupp_new.img and create gmapsupp.img.
6) Copy the newly created gmapsupp.img to nuvi, and ENJOY.
Summary:
a) Create gmapsupp.img using MapSource
b) Add POIs with gmaptool
Refer to the screenshots for the proof.
Please verify and report back here, because I am using the 755T just only 2 days.
Notes: I did the above steps in GNU/Linux environment with the help of WINE.
