Can we expect this to be available in future map release?
3D landmark map (gmap3d.img) is a standalone overlay map, in Nuvi765 it can be used with any detailed maps.

Friends,

Has anyone successfully used 765T (bluetooth handsfree) with Nokia N97?

Mine can only receive incoming calls. When I try to dial (using phone or 765T), it'll drop immediately after the 1st ring.

My set's info:
Software version : 2.00
GPS : 2.80
DSP : 2.40

Thanks.

Is Nuvi using latest BT SW Version? To check, enable BT, and check at Tools > Settings > System > About. I think latest version should be v3.40.

BTW, I believe the list of supported mobile phones over at Garmin site is not updated.

SilverBeauty,
Ur right. I understand the list did not include N97 (newer OS version than E71). I was previously using E71/iPhone with no major prob. So just wanna ask if anyone here uses it with N97 to see if my prob is unique. Tks.

Dvpro,
Thanks for the tip. But, with bluetooth enabled, i checked the page you've suggested... doesnt show any bluetooth version/tab. Also, tried webupdate... I'm already latest version.

Really hope Garmin will have updates to support N97 soon as I rely on its handsfree quite a bit.

Thanks to all!

Another method to check the above. At Nuvi's main interface (Where to? / View map), tap and hold Battery icon for 7-10sec to go into diagnostic mode. At diagnostic mode page, tap Next > Start Test > More. Scroll down to Rmt SW XXXX-XX X.XX BT Software (X.XX is BT SW version). To exit diagnostic mode, tap Back > Back > Exit.

Do you have any idea which region is your nuvi 765 from? Cos your current software version is a bit old.

For US, current version is v3.60. Update with WebUpdater.
For TWN, current version is v2.70. Please read here.
For SG/MY, current version is v2.10. Please read here.

dvpro,

I've only 2 "Rmt SW" entries. One showing MSN Direct Software and the other Mediatek MT3318 GPS Module. Don't have "BT Software" entry. Is there something wrong wif my set?

Zeus73,

Mine's a localised Sing/Mal set bought frm Navicom at last IT Show. I've updated the firmware from the links u've provided. Now it shows:

Software Version 2.10
GPS : 2.90
DSP : 2.40

But sadly, still cant make outgoing calls :(

Bro Redstorm,
Yes. I saw it.
here are the summaries:-
1) Using Gmaptool to combine Jerome Map 3.83 and MSM 3.04/5 - HDB icon missing.
2) Using Gamptool to combine Jeroem Overlay Map 3.83 and MSM 3.04/5 - HDB icon can be seen.
3) Using Mapsource to combine Jerome Map 3.83 and MSM 3.04/5 - Thin road was seen.
I will use map as mention in point 2. thanks

Bro Jovially, I am curious as I am also having thin roads which is very peculiar only to the 765. From your experience, except for HDB icon missing, are u getting thin roads if you use method 1? Thanks.
