Just wondering why any of the newer Garmin models that is mp3 capable still haven't able to support SHDC yet? 4GB seems kinda limited even for mp3.....

Just want to share. I went to melaka for a shooting trip yesterday. Was amazed with the Nuvi200 capability in locating the muara sungai (Ikan Bakar). It was excellent. However, when I need direction to the ayer keroh HW entry, it gave me a big runaround..I wonder why...

Now I wonder, If i had a higher end garmin, will I ll be able to store routes that I have taken (shortcuts) and use them again?

zoom lock in nuvi

#7 Post by dekka » Tue May 13, 2008 10:35 am

Dear fellow Nuvi user,

Do you have any idea how to zoom lock the map while travelling?

My Nuvi keep zooming out despite me zooming in to highest detail

Any way to prevent this?

Thanks

I'm using Nuvi 310, and the lowest it can zoom down to 50m during navigation.
And throughout the journey the resolution is fixed @ 50m.
Everyone contribute a bit, eventually we can enjoy and benefit more in our navigation.

im using nuvi 200w. During navigation the map will automatically zoom in and out. I noticed that when driving slow, it will zoom in, but when you drive faster, the map will zoom out automatically. Im not sure whether we can disable the auto zoom mode in nuvi 200w. Please correct me if im wrong.

Auto zoom cannot be disabled.

The 200w autozoom kicks in at approximately 90+ km/h but I noticed that the 610 kicks in earlier if I remember correctly.

Cheers
