Hi

Im the proud owner of the nuvi 1460.
I'm planning to upgrade the latest map so i downloaded the gmapsupp_v505 file from the website.

At the moment i don't have additional SD Card install on this Garmin, how can i copy the file to the GPS?

I have try to copy to the Garmin folder but it is still not working.

I have even change the file name and it doesnt work too

Anyone can share some tips

hi to all experts,
I am using nuvi 1460. There is one feature "avoidance" in the device. Under avaoidance, there is a tick for traffic. My question is if I tick this "traffic", does that mean my gps will try to find route that is less traffic jam? or what?
Experts' help are sought

Traffic avoidance is a kind of traffic services. The FM receiver accessory would "hook" up to work with the GPS device, receiving traffic data. Where to get the traffic data? At this moment it not available. Check or uncheck this feature would give no effect.

Correct me if I'm wrong

It's "Map" folder for you, not "Garmin".

anyone upgrade from 255w to this model? I feel 255w picks up satellites signal much quickly than 1460.

Bought a EcoRoute HD but can't work on my 1460. Hope their next upgrade will include EcoRouteHD. ](*,)

have not used specifically Nuvi 255W but used the other models in the 2xx range. Just bought the Nuvi 1250 local set. Signal acquisition is just as fast, if not faster. I guess 1450 should be the same.

You need to get either a US or European version of Nuvi for compatible firmware in order for it to work :-'

I believe localized Nuvis firmware do not support EcoRoute HD :-k
