Thanks for the replies,

@jasonlee: Well, I was hoping its just a part change that would only take few hrs. But yes, my best option is to get the device to where I live, and hope they have a repair center. However, I think my unit is localised as I have JV and was bought in KL.

@bartmp8: Yeah, I thought about it as well. Might just use this opportunity to upgrade to a newer model.

@silverbeuty: Thanks for the link, but there is nothing wrong with the touch screen. In fact, the whole unit is functioning normally (as far as I know), with the white scanlines. I guess it might be a component got fried, and resulting scanlines on the LCD, there is no visible damage on the LCD.

Mr Chek, you're "very on the ball"!

Same thing from engadget

IMHO, it's mostly a marketing exercise to help consumers understand the tiering of their product range - which has been getting rather confusing. I don't see any feature written here that's ground-breaking.

Transfer MyPlaces in Google Map/Earth to your Nuvi

#155 Post by aminsa » Sun Sep 25, 2011 10:26 am

Just bought nuvi 2465, now looking for the procdure how to transfer your "MyPlaces" in google map to nuvi 2465. There are video in youtube that show "how-to" transfer to GSP but when I tried the GPS option doesn't appear. Anybody know how to do this? . Last time, few years a go when I went for a europe holiday, I had to transfer manually one by one the waypoints from google map to my GPS. Is there a faster way doing this ?
