would like to ask all forummers who have the 2465 - after owning it for some time, are you still happy with it?

i know someone who has a Thai 2465 (uses in Thailand) who does not like it because he says it is very "jittery" compared to his cheaper nuvi 40 which is more "stable". often cannot make up its mind which road it is on/lose satellite lock.

i am thinking of buying a 2465 in Singapore (it is EOLed right? but still can find...) since my old 255W is, well, a bit old...

I have stopped using the 2465 but using now the 2575R and 3560. You should also consider these 2 especially the 2575R..

did you have any "jumpiness" problems with your 2465?

I think I prefer the smaller screen, the 5" screen a bit too big

Looking-up/Searching for Coordinates from Nuvi 2465LM

#116 Post by rangerboy » Wed Nov 06, 2013 1:29 pm

Hi. I have just upgraded from an ancient 250W to a 2465LM. However, for the life of me, I am unable to do a search or view coordinates as available from my 250W!! ](*,) i.e. I have a location saved in my Fav and I would like to view the coordinates of that location, how do I do that? :ko: The 2465LM doesn't have the Show Map & Set Loc feature which the 250W did...

Also, I transferred my GPX (Fav) locations from my 250W to the 2465LM but only some of the Fav appeared/viewable from the 2465LM!

Thank Q in advanced.

Dave

One of the ways to work around this problem is to simulate driving to that Favorite as a destination then touching the car icon after arrival to see the coordinates in Where Am I?

If you do not know how to achieve that, please say so and I shall explain.

Don't understand your second problem. Maybe you need to transfer the favorites again.

SET LOCATION is available but you have to turn off your GPS first and have it set for indoor use before you can set location. SHOW MAP is also available after you have routed to the destination.

Ahhh.. ok. Let me try those suggestions and see if it works (I do hope that I can fast forward the simulate route in the 2465LM tho). Will try the turn off the GPS and give it a go as well.

As for the second issue, what I meant is that I have say 10 Favorites saved in my old 250W, but when I copied the GPX Folder from my 250W to the 2465LM, only like 4 of the 10 Fav would appear/viewable in the 2465LM's Fav. I've tried to copy it multiple times but its still the same results...

Thanks!

Leave the original gpx file in your 2464LM alone and copy the gpx from your 250W over and rename it gpx1. Hope, it works.
