Try unzip your gmapprom1 (winzip) from your garmin folder if it's actually a winzip fille. When you unzip this file, you should have this filename gmapprom1.img Move this file to garmin folder.

Where's your gmapbmap.img? (garmin map based map)
gmaptz.img? (garmin map time zone)

No idea . This is the files I have after i reinstall the 2009.40 map
And by the way, the gmapprom1 is a img files, but my winzio on my pc recognize it as a type of zip files. so..
Do you think if you email the both the files to me and I put it back to garmin will that help. If so, can you kindly email to stevecd9@yahoo.com. Thanks

Just downloaded the newest time zone map from Garmin website. GMaptz.img file details attached.

Code:

A very good morning to all:)

I just bought a local set, 255W and registered it online a few days ago. It's working fine but i am not sure if the maps/softwares are up to date.

When i hooked up my 255w to my laptop using usb cable and checked on garmin site, it says everything is up to date.

Here's what i see when i check Tools - Setting - Map - Map Info:

Malsingmaps Malaysia/Singapore/Brunei NT 2009.40
[1]MSM

City Navigator Singapore/Malaysia NT 2009.31
[1]SGP_MYS_NT_TA200907_JCV 2009.31
