Hi, am a 1st time user of GPS. Just bought a 2465 at e IT show.

I have some problems in accessing the map, i downloaded some maps with e .img format and loaded in e SD card.
folder map --> victoria.img

Under system --> myMaps, I can see e downloaded maps. However, I cant seem to access the map from view map, why is it so? Is it possible for me to change e base map setting? as in set it to the area that I downloaded? thx a million!

Where did you obtain the map from ?

Are you sure the map is in Garmin Map format ? No two *.img files are made the same. It has to be Garmin format.

Do not understand what you mean by base map setting. Base map are reduced detail maps compared with normal street level maps that covers the entire world on a single map file. You have to obtain GPS signal before GPS locks you into your position in this globe.

I think before he do anything seriously damaging to the device, he needs to back up the whole device first.

I need some help here. I tried to plot a single route with 2 destinations on it. But after I reached the first destination and headed off to the second, the gps kept directing me back to the first destination. Anyone knows how to rectify this?

Hi guys... just bought a new Nuvi 2465 last Monday, Wnt to confirm with sifu here...

i did categorize all my favorite such as... Family & Friend, Shopping, Landmark....

When i click on WHERE TO >> FAVORITE

all the favourite in Nuvi 2465 is not archive in their specified category, all favorite dump into 1 list of favorite even though i assigned a category.

Compare to my Nuvi 1350, When i click on WHERE TO >> FAVORITE

i can see list of CATEGORY, click on the category then only can see all the favorite belong to that category....

How can a achieve this in Nuvi 2465

I don't think you can do that in Nuvi 2465.

Yes, the category doesn't show up.
Hopefully there will be a firmware update on this.
