Updated my map via Garmin website over the weekend and while driving around during CNY the amount of information this new GPSr is displaying is really wonderful. Everything you mentioned in your sample screen shot were appearing plus while navigating along CTE, all the exit name and distance also shows in a list on the right hand side of the screen. Wonderful. Really happy with 2565.

If only MSM maps could also be coded/compiled (not sure what needs to be done) to have all these info, that would be fantastic. Latest maps all the time and take full advantage of the new GPSr.

MSM map generated by Garmin does have the information you mentioned....Junction View, Exit information on the right, Lane information....

Only the latest map generated by ourselves do not have it. But it is a small inconvenience.

GA 25MCX Remote GPS Antenna should be enough to improve your satellite reception up to two meters accuracy. But on average, you always get three meters accuracy and satellite fix is better too.

Edited : My wife's car fitted with GA25MCX for her Nuvi 2565 and placed on the roof (when required la) especially when she went for site visit outside Klang Valley.

While getting the antenna, you may want to consider whether it should be a straight jack or a L-shaped jack. I chose the L-shaped jack because I wanted the wire to hang down for aesthetic reason... :-$ but it will be more difficult to dismantle the jack from the Nuvi if you want to remove the antenna....not much real estate for your fingers to grab to pull it out.

By the way, you have to make sure you get the right kind of jack. I think it should be a MCX jack.

Here is a website you can do some reading...

Hi... I hv the 2575R and I've also purchased the City Navigator NT for Europe NT with the microSD card

I've insert the card and the map is recognised but I NEED the card to be inserted.

I am a total noob on this and I've also googled but cant find anything to address my qns.

1) Is it a must I leave the uSD in the 2575R?
2) I am worried that the date would be deleted by accident (if i use the camera and the recording overwrites the file), can i back up the map?
3) Do i need to register this product before i use it? (If so, pls help me with details... :( I really am a wits end)
4) Is there a way to permanently install that map into my Nuvi2575R?

Thank you so much for any help rendered.... Pls advice me in details if you can.. I will be flying off in 12hrs time and I need to solve this problem as fast as possible.

THank you all...

Good bless and a good week ahead.

Regards
Sam

1) Yes, you have to leave the card in the slot for nuvi to read the map.
2) Yes, you can back up the data on the card to some other storage. However the unlock key goes together with microSD serial, you'll need the original microSD + map data for nuvi to read it.
For the camera (if you are referring to GDR 10), the recording is written on the microSD in the GDR 10 only.
3) Register the product, you may need some services in the future.
4) 2575R has only 2Gb memory. It may not fit in the Europe data. I think what you've purchased is to be on microSD card, and not to transfer to main memory as it need another different serial key.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU wsian!!

So for number 4, HOW do i register?? I can't seem to do that?? I dont have any interface to link my 2575R to update (like itunes etc). I can only do so online when I log into gamin? It doesn't track n noted the existence of that map.

If so how do i do it?

So I just plug in the uSD n use? Thank you
