Nuvi 52 LM Search POI issues

#2 Post by PatrickL33 » Sun Sep 22, 2013 11:02 am

sorry i posted my question in first timer, decided to repost here.

hi, recently i change my garmin from 200w to lm52

I notice the msn 2013 6.3nt map that i downloaded can't search poscode and pois where by my cn sgmy nt 2013.20 malsing (default map) can search all these. What did i do wrong?

Also, the reason i upgrade the gps is becoz of the junction view. My junction view doesn't seem to be working, only the lane assist is working. Do I need to do something? i did create a JCV in the gps and placed the file there.

Bro PatrickL33, you never say which location you are in.

Go to a "larger" retail cellphone accessory shop and look for generic pouches to fit the Nuvi 52

For Garmin-MsM compiled map, Postal code search works differently vs Garmin commercial map

Please look at first post of Postal Code thread.

viewtopic.php?f=18&t=23297

In short, the method is..

For MSM NT 20XX.XX,
Touch Where To? -> Address -> Spell Post Code
(Note : Country must be Singapore)

Garmin-MsM map 6xx series has limited JCV vs official Garmin commercial map. It is stated in the download section how many junctions in Mal-Sin are in each release.

Note : Please do not multi-post same questions in different threads. It takes up band-width. :tq: Your other post has been deleted.

"Touch Where To? -> Points of Interest ->"

But my garimn lm52 doesn't have point of interest in the menu.

also as mentioned, after press "Where to?" Search, i can't find any POIs except those i saved in the favourites where by the native map, i can search.

Try Where To? -> Search...
that i don't think I tried.. will try later

but any idea why the search u talking baout can't search pois like my work place Fuji Xerox.

When I press search "fuji" , it give me results like fujiann province in china.. wtf >_>

but if i revert back to the old map, search fuji is working, it even have the auto complete.
