so far my Nuvi 610 been OK. Not like my 60CSx which had to be replaced 2x (SW 0.0) before I finally got a trouble free unit.

haha.. i am using Nuvi610, upgraded from Nuvi300. LCD resolution is better in 610, though some useful function like 'button' to read current location is missing in my favourte. Other than that, it is much better, quicker in searching Satellites.. =P~

How much did you guys pay for it?

Comparing to PDA + Garmin10x and this set, which one better?

good question.

Screen Nuvi better, wider and easier to read even under the sun.

Software Garmin Mobile XT is better. supports Peer Points and can access Traffic depending on Map Loaded.

Nuvi when Where to -> Fuel
display shows both gasoline stations and convenience stores.
but GMxt shows
All Catergories
Convenies
Auto Fuel
Fuel Prices

GM XT also does track logging , Nuvi does not.

I think that GM XT seem to have a faster response time while Nuvi seems to have a 1 second lag.

What I'd like to see is a cheep Garmin Unit using GM Xt , ie , a Windows Mobile OS, with built in SIRF III chip . In short, something like QUE but instead of PALM OS, Windows Mobile. Of course with a TFT screen.

Have been using the Nuvi 610 with Malsingmaps since Mar this year. Excellent gadget; excellent maps. Have been playing around with a Nokia 6110 the past few weeks.

Nuvi 610 user reporting in.

Been enjoying it ever since I got it as it's a huge upgrade for me coming from a PDA based GPS background!

The Nuvi is so easy to use and with its BT capabilities, I can even use it as a handsfree kit.

Gone are the days when I have to charge my BT headset. :P :-({|=

That's the thing. Flexibility of PDA can does so many functions and unlimited functionality that you can expand from now to future until your hardware limitation.
I don't like SiRF III chipset, MTK really better for me as I am the current user for Qstarz.
