After many unsuccessful tries, I managed to update my Kenwood DNX 7200 firmware to v1.09.
Here's what happened: I copied the file "k07v_update1.09.tar.gz" to my sd card. Using a multi-card reader, I connected to the usb port of the Kenwood set. The update line appears, but the start button couldn't be pressed. I tried many other methods, including extracting the files, and using the main file. Then I read from the instrutions that certain multi-card reader has compatibility issue. So I went to buy a 1GB thumbdrive. After many tries again, it didn't work also....
I borrowed another thumbdrive from my friend, and try again.... still it don't work. I was told at another forum to try copying some songs to the thumbdrive and try playing it. And... it didn't work....
At this stage, I thought that my Kenwood set got problem liao... unitil I thought of the last resort...
I use a pen and press the reset button on the set.... Presto! It works!
Took about 5-6 mins for the updating processs. The album artwork now works for Ipod Classic, except that the resolution is quite bad....well it's better than having a "Load Error"! Hope that it will also solve the issue of occasional hanging...Enjoy the update!
Happy New Year guys!
