I've managed to remove my DNX 7200 and confirmed that the usb connector is mini usb type b:

Initially couldn't find the drivers in my notebook, so I downloaded them from
http://www.garmin.com . Once connected, the Kenwood screen will prompt for "Garmin" or "Mass Storage". I selected "Mass Storage". Immediately the drives are shown on the notebook. I copied Australian Karen's voice file into the voice folder.
Tadaaaa!!!

I went a step further, and discovered a secret.....
I removed the original base map gmapprom.img on the DNX7200, and replace it with Jerome's gmapsupp.img file. I inserted a SD card with mfm's gmapsupp.img. The end result is a combined map of Sg and the whole of Malaysia. Buildings that are not drawn on Jerome's map can now be seen due to mfm's map. Addresses that cannot be found on mfm's map can now be searched due to Jerome's map. Now I have the best of both worlds.....
