I'm using all 3 maps given by garmin.sg. I.e Mfm, msm n d original one. u should download these 3 too.. these maps were fantastic! my last trip to KL was perfect.. no wrong turns at all!!!! the junction views and lane assists popped up at all the right places!!! previous versions brought me everywhere except my intended destinations..

Yeah whatever maps I put in hangs all the time. I am so pissed at it that I depend on my 265W.

So much more reliable.

just a thought.. the antenna receiver position can b quite a issue.. I used to hide it in the A pillar.. satellites search took longer especially during cold startup.. things were better when I put it on the dash board directly.. u may wana try it

It's on the dashboard now. The issue with my set is the maps. I used all the various maps but it still hangs.

I tried changing the map details from most to least, it hanged as well.

So pek chek

think I can understand ur pek-chek-ness.. wld feel d same if my set is giving me similar problems.. 1 last recommendation I cld think of for u is get at least a class 6 or even class 10 sd card for d maps and see if it works for u... I'm using class 6 with 2gb capacity only..

GPS: Garmin Mobile XT
I had been using a Nokia E6 loaded with Garmin Mobile XT since I brought my car in 2009.
Recently, one of the speaker is deaf and I decided to tradein my old audio for this Kenwood Garmin DNX5310BT that comes with EastGear Maps.
The navigation SUCKs. Cannot route properly, when driving along BKE, it will ask you to go into each individual exit and u-turn back into highway.
So, I unplug my microSD from the Garmin Mobile XT and load it into Kenwood Garmin DNX5310BT. Now, the routing routes perfectly and all my favorite location are also ported into the Kenwood Garmin DNX5310BT ICE.

Dear Seniors,

I am still using my Kenwood DNX 7100 after so many years. but it is still going strong. May map is quiet old. Now I wish to upload with the latest map for sg and Malaysia.

can any senior advice me how to select which map for the system and how to install ?

next, I release dnx 7100 cannot key in GPS coordinates. Anyone tried before ?

If I wanna buy a portable one to be able to key in GPS coordinates, which one should I choose ? mainly to use in Malaysia.. as I love to drive up to Malaysia... anyone wanna join me ?
