Sorry 'not suitable' it just of my opinion.

My experience use nuvi 710 do tracking, u need to setting off the malsingmap just use the base map , then when do tracking it will not stick to the nearness road.

Yes, Nuvi 710 can do Track log but I think is not suitable use on the map. ](*,)

this the track I get by using Nuvi 710 u can compare with Nokia Sport Tracker
Nuvi 710 Track.gdb
and (Nokia Sport Tracker) same time that I Have tracked pls check at this Link viewtopic.php?p=91429#p91429
Thanks nac9031,
Thats was very usefull tips.. and I do agreed with you that Nuvi 710 tracking will jump off the track and need lots of editing before sent out to mapper.

How do I use the base map.. izzit setting off like >> from map info just chick on the malsingmap 2.27 ?

Nuvi is for the family to go out station or for my wife oversea trip.
I would like to have one that do more for tracking as I do more offroad in the jungle. Or looking for land.

Was thinking of 60csx or Vista Hcx, these two are more handy

Yes, just un-check the "tick" on the left side. When you need it back, just check it again.

Do you have other map set? If not, this might be your Basemap.
