There are several sub directories in POINT OF INTEREST, sub as FOOD, FUEL, SHOPPING. With the POIs i created from mapsource, how can i park them in these sub directories ? :-k

thanks :D
I do not have a legend but for Nuvi, you cannot delete just the current.gpx file in main /gpx directory. Apparently the Nuvi keeps a backup somewhere hidden and when you reboot it, the files are restored. You will need to get into maintenance mode and select clear user waypoints. Unit will reboot and all your favorites are cleared.

For sub-directories, ie.. Food, fuel, shopping etc... only mapper does these when he adds in the POIs

Navigating with Nuvi 200W and Malsingmap

Sorry but I cannot find the thread any more!

I just got my Nuvi and have uploaded the Malsingmap (unlocked) on a SD card. I remember reading that it is not possible to use the address function, but that one had to enter the street name or POI.
I cannot find where you can enter the street name in the Nuvi??

Thanks.

Jacques

To be exact, to get to that "Spell Name" button, its:-

- Where to button

- Favourites

- Food, Hotels...

- Spell Name

Unless there another short-cut of another menu to do this. Means I've been doing it wrongly. :-.

Please, please, do not open a new thread unless there is no topic relating to the 200W. After all the housekeeping, the last thing I want to see is members starting opening new threads and the sub-forum gets mushroomed overnight to many more pages. There is already a thread on the 200W here. Please use it to post your queries. This thread is locked and will be merged with the existing topic later on. Thank you.

There's a speed alert POI file which can be stored under a directory named POI. (If you don't already know). It'll show up in the "extras" menu in your GPSr. Not sure how many of these file can be accepted though but I suspect its only 1.

Another bro mentioned that you can store a couple more maps in your GPSs's memory under gmapprom1.img, gmapoem.img & gmapsupp.img. (apart from the one in the SD card). I've tried this and it works. So I don't need to linl the East Malaysia maps with the Singapore ones by sendmap20/Patchimg as that'll lsoe the address function in the latest release of the Gold edition Malsingmaps.

Wow... Interesting!

In order for that to work, gotta name the additional maps as either gmapprom1.img, gmapoem.img and install in the main memory?

While MSM's mysin map remain the name as gmapsupp.img and let it resides in the SD card?

Thanks in advance
