How do you know what chipset is installed in the nuvi200?

It's very simple

1. Press setting botton(the one next to audio button on the lower right screen)
2. Press Setting
3. Press System
4. Press About button

The type of chipset can be found at GPS SW string. There are 3 chipsets available:

2.10b=Bravo chipset(Native Garmin)
2.10m=MediaTek chipset
2.90s=SiRF chipset

Hope this help :)

Hi Rotiplanta,

Welcome to MSM. Please have a look at the Forum Directory. You'll find out who the various vendors that may help you. As we are all "bro & sis", not
nice to recommend one vendor over another. You may however choose a vendor closer to your area although most
vendors do deliver by post. Generally, the current active vendors in MSM are the trustworthy ones. The cepat kaya ones
have already been killed off.

While you are at it, pls also read the Wiki. You'll find a lot of the answers to typical newbie questions there. See also
the old forum. If all else fail, you may ask for help in the appropriate threads. If you show you made an effort to
solve your problem but cannot, the bros and sis here would be more willing to help you.

Cheers.

Hi all,

A fresh newbie here.. :)

I found this seller at the ZTH forum

http://www.zerotohundred.com/newforums/ ... gps-3.html

when i was searching for a GPS device, this seller seems to be giving very good offers.
Anyway I got my Garmin Nuvi 200 for RM 1152 with original SG/MY maps in Singapore..,a last minute buy since I was desperate to find my ways around Singapore by driving. :P

Btw, anyone knows where to get pouch for my Nuvi200, try to find in Digital Mall PJ yesterday but no luck yet.

:welcome: to MSM
Congratulation to you for the arrival of your new "baby" :mrgreen:
You can get the pouch almost anywhere as long as they sell electronic gadgets. For me, I'm using sony cybershot pouch which I bought at Sg Wang Plaza for RM20. Any pouch will do actually(the ori garmin is very expensive) :thumbsup:

So, what's inside your nuvi? MTK? SiRF?
Don't forget to share your track :wink:

Happy Tracking :D
