OMNIA: Questions & Guide
Hello guys & seniors,
I'm new here. Really need some positive advise from any of you, or other Omnia owner.
With my new Samsung Omnia i900 winmobile 6.1, currently can only run Agis Nav perfectly and 'he' can 'speak' to me.
Extremely like to use malsingmap, but don't know how to integrate malsingmap & AgisNav.
Install GPS Proxy & Garmin Mobile XT, run OK but 'he' can't 'speak'. And frequently hang.
Then install GPS Proxy & Garmin Que 2.9, run OK.(Tooks few days to make it Ok) But 'he' can't 'speak'. So until today can't sleep well.
Any suggestion?
TQ

Re: Samsung SGH-i900
Then I think it is better for you to wait until all the 3 phones are avaliable, so you can test and feel them. Then decide which one to buy.nik wrote:indeed, i agree that this is an outstanding device, i've seen it on youtube, read some reviews and in fact, i've played around with it yesterday at Samsung retailer.. i'm in love with itthe headache part is when considering to buy Omnia or HTC Touch Pro (end of this month) or wait for Sony Ericsson Xperia (launch October) ...
still headachebut i know i'll buy Omnia eventually.. tangah sudah gatal
Before I brought the Omnia, I also had 3 models in mind:
1) Garmin Nuvifone
2) Nokia N96
3) iPhone 3G
But suddently Samsung launched Omnia and I just cannot tahan the itch anymore.

I really glad that I brought the Omnia, for the reasons that;
1) Don't have to wait for Nuvifone.
2) Had the same amount of memory as N96, but slimmer.
3) Kills the iPhone.

How to make GPS work in samsung omnia phone
hi all........i am a total newbie to GPS. I need help on how to set up GPS in my samsung omnia sgh i900 phone that runs on WM 6.1. I had need trying to make it work but unsuccessful. Even samsung service center is unable to assist me as they said that the GPS runs on 3rd party software that they are unfamiliar with.
Therefore, really appreciate if someone can help to provide a step by step of what type of software/mappings that I need to download into my phone before i can start using it? and also if can provide the rite links to download those software/mappings?
Thanks in advance.

You had to buy the Garmin Mobile XT for SmartPhone which is available in microSD.

Why do you need to start a new thread on Omnia when there are already several pages of discussion on this thread?

Re: Samsung SGH-i900 Omnia
I have the Omnia on the new G4 ROM.
So far, the following have worked with the internal GPS with COM3,COM9-4800
GarminXT 4.2.50
BeeLineGPS
Aegis
I have also got TomTom7 to work however, only with Franson's GPSGate or with my external bluetooth GPS receiver.
Hope to get more news on what you chaps are up to.
