-- full feature of navigation and maps

-- able to use map downloaded from this web site
3) all Garmin portable GPS able to play voice to inform on the driving direction right?
4) Saw they are lot Nuvi model in Garmin web site, all can be used with maps downloaded from this web site?
5) Understand for some model, all the maps downloaded from here can be copied to SD card and slot in to Garmin And some model need to install the maps direct to the Garmin GPS? Is this correct? If yes, which option is better?

Garmin 200 already phased out by Garmin ... this model replaced by 205 series ... 200 model is good basic model to start off with ... buy according to affordability
As a newbie please read our wiki section "newbie pitstop" to get started with GPS followed by "general references ".

Re: Garmin - General Discussion - Part 5
Quick question,
a friend of mine bought a nuvi 760 in australia. He was a bit confused that the Mapsource CD was not bundle with the nuvi. He used to own a handheld GPS (forgot which model) that comes with the mapsource CD. Sadly CD gone case
.
anyway i was just wondering is the nuvi 760 bought in malaysia / singapore comes with the CD? If it doesnt, know where can the CD be bought?
Although he can just buy the CD while he's in aussie, but if can be bought in malaysia with a cheaper price, he wont mind lol.
Thanks in advance for the help

Hi Bro amdteng
I bought my 760 form the States and did not come with CD either. After reading from this forum i learned to download Mapsource from the Garmin website and install it in my 760s. Do not know what else in the CD but if it just for Mapsource it is available FOC from the website.
There is a thread about the latest version of Mapsource and a link to download it.
