The Nuvi 755T

#1 Post by tennissaturday » Sat Oct 25, 2008 7:58 pm

Hi, :)

I just purchased the new Nuvi 755T. The maps are much much smoother, with better labelling of the roads, and much faster satellite fix! however I have the following problem  :

1. There are no shapes/polygons of buildings displayed on the map, unlike my Nuvi 360. However random coloured polygons are splashed under the roads, which changes (randomly) when zooming in/out.

Any ideas ? Is it the problem with wide screens ? anyone face the above problems ?

thanks for your help !

Just want to share a comprehensive 785T (7x5) review.

http://www.gpsmagazine.com/2008/10/garm ... review.php

One question for the 7x5T owner(s).
Does the unit shows the correct turn at roundabout ?

IMHO, 785 is quite a waste of money if you want to use it only in malaysia. Better get 755 or 765.

Another good review Garmin nuvi 755T
http://www.gpslodge.com/archives/021869.php

I hope I get mine soon... I am aware thatTMC, 3D building, ... are UNuseable in our region, but, I likes the faster route calculation, faster display/refresh rate, trip log, 4 GB internal memory, features. But who knows, someday, I may travel to USA, and this GPS unit may come handy.

As mentioned in the first post...
The problem is - For malsing maps there are no shapes/polygons of buildings displayed on the map- only random coloured polygons are splashed under the roads, which changes (randomly) when zooming in/out.

The 3D buildings/ lane assistance works for the US/ European maps.
