Hi,

Will this program work with my gogopal gps map unit? I find the gogopal to be quite good but there are NO updates and no maps of Singapore or any place else, for that matter.

Mapsource is a Garmin program. However, you can still use Mapsource to pin point your
POIs and save a copy of the file to be uploaded for Contribution. Just make sure you have
installed the v2.30 public release (can view in Mapsource but cannot transfer maps to
GPSr). With the latest map, you can see what tracks/POIs or error reports to contribute.

How to view GM-MySin Installer v2.30

#115 Post by dunnounme » Sat Jan 17, 2009 2:47 pm

How to view the map if I don't have Mapsource? Are there any other free software that I can use? I want to confirm some missing POI on my free v2.15 map that came with my Nuvi200.

You can't view the map without mapsource. I don't think there is any other software besides mapsource that you can use. Why don't you want to install mapsource? Mapsource installed with the latest mapsource installer (v2.30) is the way to go if you have an older version of map and want to see if some missing POI are already in the latest map.

The problem is, my Nuvi200 doesn't come with Mapsource, and the version available in Garmin website needs an older version to be installed first.
