A big Hello to all the New Members of MSM. :welcome: to our forum.
May I direct you to our MSMWiki [Click here to go to Newbie Pitstop] if you have not done so.
Most of your initial questions can be found in the Wiki if you take the time to look patiently.

Let me remind all Newbies a few general matters . That is:
1) Never double post [posting the same question in more than one topic]
2) Never discuss, offer or ask for hacked/pirated/illegal softwares etc
3) Post your questions in its proper topic [e.g. don't upload tracks or POIs in Newbie Lounge etc]
4) Always search the Forum for the topic you are looking for. If you can't find one then you may start a new one.
5) Be courteous, show that you've made an effort in trying to solve your problem then ask for help.
6) PLEASE state your location in your profile. This will enable members closer to you to help you better.
7) Remember words on their own do not show emotions. Sometimes, what we type can appear very "angry" and
does not reflect what we wish to convey. Please choose your words carefully to avoid misunderstanding.
8) Being Computer illiterate is not a crime but not willing to learn is a sin.

Remember, the seniors here don't like to spoon feed newbies. You won't learn anything this way.
Newbie Lounge will be your sanctuary. You can ask most of your basic questions here without
the fear of being :whip: :waffen: :walled: :x :axe: .
But this does not cover you when you ask stupid questions. Pls have a look at the "stickies", these are
popular or more important topics. It can be found at the beginning of each Sub-forum index.

For Topics not "Stickied" please see:

This is another way to select POIs if you do not wish to use
Address search. It brings you to the actual POI rather than
the Street name.

Favourite POIs (GPX) - NUVI

Q: Where are my Favourite POI Files kept in the Nuvi Memory?

A: You can find your Favourite POI File in the GPX Folder, which is
inside the Garmin Folder of your Nuvi. The File will be named "Current"

Attachment:
GPX folder.jpg
GPX folder.jpg [ 81.08 KiB | Viewed 9670 times ]

When you want to contribute POIs from the Favourite List (which you saved in your Nuvi),
just copy this "Current" file and open it with Mapsource. Remember to delete all your
personal POIs (Home, Office, Uncle/Aunty/BF/GF's House etc) and any POIs you do not wish
to contribute. Save the remaining POIs as a Mapsource file and upload it in the appropriate
Contribution Sub-Forum.
