There are 2 channels of map distribution, 3 if you include new buyers who purchase the 255Ws. Nuvi owners who own local sets (Asian) now, will be able to download the NT maps through the Garmin website very very soon. Unlock codes will be issued by Garmin FOC.

Those with imported Nuvis and other GPSs - they have another channel to get the NT maps. How and where .. the announcement will come. Just sabar a bit longer .. :wink:

Just curious... your imported set also covered under SG local warranty?

I got it from EastGear, thus warranty by EG.

I should clarify : the firmware that supports Junction View are only available in the latest models. I do not think there will be a firmware update for the older Nuvis. Very much like Mapking R10, R12, R17 - you want the feature, you have to get the new model.

I didn't get the new manual.

Hmmm ...

Need to check where are the malsing maps as well.
I looked at the "Map Info", its all Jerome's maps.

EastGear is bundled with Jerome's latest map w MSM free maps.

i must admit i didn't do enough reading before I bought.
the huge Garmin advertisement board over their store had me believing they are the authorised dealer.
don't know if its a PI set, its made in Taiwan.
