Bro brownie1234, Try my method : apply some water (or saliva ) onto the base B 4 you press your suction pad onto the windscreen. It worked for me, so far so good.

So, you don't leave your suction mount on the windscreen when you leave your car? If that's the case, why bother to use saliva or water when you don't need to stick your mount for more than a day.

Bro Redstorm, the trouble is, very frequent, after putting up the GPSr and travelled for a short distance, the whole thing dropped.
After I tried the "water" method, the problem solved.
I even clean away the suction cup mark from the windscreen after I removed the cup.
Kiasu, you may say. And I don't mind the GPSr being stolen but I don't want to waste my time on replacing my car's window.

Bro SB, aiyah, my NUVI 200W GPSr is the low end and obsolete model, not worth the trouble and risk lah.

ecoRoute was introduced by Garmin earlier this year to nuvi 2x5 and 7x5 series.

Have been playing with this option recently and attached some routes suggested by nuvi when using the "Less Fuel" option.



The routes highlighted in red colour are when you will get when using "Faster Time" option for Route Preference while all the highlighted routes are what my nuvi had suggested. The device is like constantly trying to look for a more fuel efficient route. It's kind of fun to try out a new route when I'm not rushing for time.

Is anyone else using the ecoRoute feature? Can share your experiences?

Zeus - looking at Garmin's recommendation for ecoroute, I can safely say it'll cost you way more ga$ then the faster option. Sometimes if I know the route well, I'll even ignore the faster route option, cos it has no idea about the traffic situation.

If only LTA can broadcast traffic info "live" to the Garmin.

Except for the stupid one which suggested to travel along Bukit Timah Road instead of PIE, the rest has been very good.

The one at Jurong actually bring me away from Jalan Boon Lay and Jalan Bahar which jam every evening. Going by Corporation Road is very much faster.
