Is a new device and no one has able to convert it to US or Local version.

further if you want to have 3D building, Junction view you should have brought the proper unit that able to support it.
The real problem is not whether machine think but whether men do!

I tried to check Garmin.com and I don't see there is a LOCAL (SG/MY) version for any of the 1000 series.

One thing good about the nuvi 1XXX series, you can dump lots of map into the main memory or microSD Card.

Try creating a "Map" folder in the root. Dump the maps inside. You don't to worry about the file name. Basically it can read anything.

Please feedback if the above method works or not. :tq:

Hi Zeus73

Yes it works. initially I can't find the maps when i copied the "img" and "uni" files in Garmin folder on my Nuvi 1300 Us version. By moving the files to new folder "Map" and it works. Great!! Cheers... TQ

I have the Nuvi 1350 and the best thing you can put whatever map with individual country name in the map directory. You can select which map you want on the map info.

Got the Thailand, Indonesia, China and the other Malaysia map in it. \:D/
