#1 Post by naim » Thu Dec 03, 2009 12:40 pm

Fire-farting F-111 fighter-bomber of the Royal Australian Air Force. Flown all the way from its Brisbane base for LIMA '09 in Langkawi now. Retiring next year, to be replaced by the F/A-18F Super Hornets.

I had my first ride in a Maswing ATR 72-212A (SANDAKAN) last weekend and I was really impressed with it.
The legroom is excellent and i could stretch out even with the seat in front reclined. They had a trolley
service with 5 types of beverages to choose from. The pre flight safety was done via little dropdown LCD
screen. The pre-flight safety was not your boring MAS ones. It has a sense of humour. There was also
2 short tourism propaganda on Sabah & Sarawak. Boarding was from the rear door only. Being a narrow
body plane, you could almost see both sides of the plane view. Its a bit like flying in a twin otter without
the turbulence. There was even a C-class section, 6 seats altogether in the front of the plane.

Now, only if Maswing will install a digital cam below the cockpit and feed live videos to the LCD screens
to show us landings and takeoffs. <--- dreaming [-o<
