What maps have you got loaded in your NuviFone M10?

The address search of Garmin-MSM Map is not really accurate HDB blocks as it is based on POI search
Suggest you use Postal Code which is more accurate.

MainMenu - WhereTo - Address - Spell Postal Code - Enter 530458 - Nuvi will return with Postal Code 50458 - Select 530458 - EnterHouse Number - Enter 458 - Nuvi will return with 530458, 458, Hougang Avenue 10 - Select GO

Not sure for nuvifone. But for nuvi, touch Tools -> Settings -> Map -> Map Info. Should be more or less the same. :-k

As for searching of HDB block, MSM NT don't have those POI yet. You can use this instead. But I dunno how to copy it into your phone. Maybe into the Map folder. :-k

As for search method, search under Points of Interest instead of Address.

Is Garmin-Asus Nuviphone M10 able to use Malsinmaps?

#9 Post by ooi1980 » Sun Apr 25, 2010 12:18 pm

Hi everyone,
I'm considering to buy the new M10 Nuviphone by Garmin and Asus. My question is, is the phone compatible with the maps downloaded from Malsinmaps? And what are the pros and cons of this phone, as compared to the much touted Apple Iphone? Appreciate any replies!

Of course, it can use malsingmaps or any third party map. Other than this, sorry, I can't comment as I don't either one of these phones.
