GPS: Nokia N95, oregon300
Can anyone explain to me what is the spec that i need to look out for in choosing the correct car charger ?
The unit uses a 2 AA size batt.

Car batt is 12 volts rite ?

How many amps is needed ?
Some say 500mA is enought, anything more than that can blow the unit. ??

Keep your money. When an Oregon is connected to a USB power source it will use that source to ONLY "power" the unit. It WILL NOT charge the unit !!!

Most standard phone and camera "USB" power adapters will power the Oregon.

You may find by default the Oregon will enter mass storage mode unless you have the Setup-System-Interface setting configured to Garmin Tool (Spanner shaped icon)

usually what i do is, i buy the phone usb type of charger n i remove the battery, plug-in the phone charger (Usually pda charger) and i used the oregon.
Save money and save the environment.... and you can mapping it as long as you like.
