If using Galaxy S, better not register your gmail account although it's needed to obtain free program in Samsung market. If you do, you get a high telephone bills since it updating your mail account every 15 mins (by default).

But if you configure not auto update your gmail account, you gonna get an annoying icon telling you that your authentication failed.

@BanBan HTC Desire. Just upgraded to Froyo.

@Miezarnd Memang I activate Gmail dan Gtalk sekali. That was the main reason I bought an Android. Seamless integration is bliss. But I am on Celcom 3G RM98 unlimited broadband per month. Will there be any extra data charge? I don't think so... kan?

It was a very difficult decision because the Galaxy S has Super AMOLED which is rather amazing. The picture quality is mesmerizing while the Desire only has TFT. But I heard that AMOLED screens were not compatible with Froyo. That was deal breaker for me.

Thinking of getting the Garmin-Asus A10 running on Android. I'd say its 512MB storage for apps is rather limited. Anyone can say any more bad things about this device?

I have the Desire and compared to the Galaxy S, which has an amazing screen, it is much better and the Sense UI is superb. I dunno what you meant by "AMOLED screens are no compatible with Froyo". So far, with the upgrade to Froyo, I have not encountered any problem. Adil is using the Desire too.

@Redstorm Some later models for the Desire was changed to SLCD (not TFT as I mentioned previously) instead of the AMOLED screens made available in the earlier Desire models. I think the seller cited the change was due to a shortage of AMOLED Screens. Galaxy as is using Super AMOLED.

Don't quote me on the compatibility of Super AMOLED screens with Froyo. The seller might've been bluffing so I would get the Desire. I searched the internet and the Galaxy S will have its Froyo update by late October.

noah, how do u rate the desire's camera performance, still & video? i read at gsmarena http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_desire-3077.php that the camera can now shoot video at 720p/30fps after froyo upgrade. is this true?

Hi ajay, that is true. I can shoot videos at 720p using the mpeg codec but my rating for the video and stills are 3/5 for the Desire. My previous N97 Mini shot better video & stills IMHO.
