Yes! Working very fine with Garmin Que, Mapking and Holux GPS 236B!

Hmm for a processor speed of 200+Hz, is the Touch laggy with directions and does the screen freeze?

I used the HTC touch with Garmin 10X. I don't experience 'lagginess' or 'freezing'. As these are relative terms, I am not sure of your expectations but it works fine with me. I did compare this set up with my Nuvi 310 running both at the same time. The satellite acquistion seems a bit faster, re-calcuting seems somewhat faster. Not sure if this is due to the processor speed or a combination of factors.

i think this 200mhz is a different kind of cpu... so it shouldn't lag...

I think the slow processor although rated Dual core (T-Omap 200mhx) does slow down abit interm of recalculation during navigation & also during scrolling the Garmin/Mapking mapstiles...I was contemplating between Dopod P800W and Asus P535 (520Mhx- intel) before I choose the Asus P535...as the P800W (t-map 200mhx) due to the momentary slow-dragging effect during scrolling...But overall should not be a porblem-lah :D

It should be able to work. AnyWay Mapking quite a hassle free program. You can try here to DL http://www.mapking.com.sg/download/Mapk ... ftware.exe to test first..

Thanks for the explanation. My phone plan is just due ... and I am contemplating upgrading to a phone with PDA capability for the first time in my life !!! Otherwise, I never had the chance to play with Que and GMXT properly.... :lol:

I wasn't sure about the Touch's capability as I did experience using my 10x (now sold) with my old O2 IIm smartphone (also 200Mhz CPU). It was laggy.......... which was why I hesisated to buy the HTC Touch...... But , it looks like many brothers here vouch for the Touch !!! Hmmm... hands itchy...

I saw some rumour there is a new HTC touch with numeric keypad coming out end of this year. May have 3G (not sure).
